Othello

Shakespeares is so hard to read! I read the first part and was completely confused about what happened and had to go back and read again! It took forever to get through! But once I figured out what he was saying the story line so far isn't that bad. I think this will be one of my more favorite books besides the old English it is written in!

  1. I love Shakespeare!! Once you get the hang of what hes trying to say (which does take a while, but is possible) you realize his stories are so well written and very entertaining. I was however disappointed in class today when Smith told us that he probably didn't write them himself...O well they are still great tales!--If u are looking for another Shakespeare play definitely check out The Taming of the Shrew!

  2. I just posted about the same thing, I find Shakespeare very hard to read. Sure slowing down, re-reading, and writing in the margins will help but it is still very time consuming. I also agree that the story is not bad either. I really like everything that has taken place in this play and am actually looking forward to act 2. I also agree with Dolly22 that the taming of the shrew is really well written. This is the piece that I was asked to read in High School.
